I'm curious who gets the most spam in their Gmail account. I deleted all my spam yesterday and right now I have 400 unread spams.

i have gotten 44 spams in last month or so to gmail
my yahoo account gets a min of 15 or so a day
and i have that address for years (got it when i was playing diablo 1) lol
i also have a mail.com, and eventho i use that address for contests, message boards and stuff like that, i only get like 6-15 a day there
i used to have a hotmail account that i used for newsgroups, that got so much
spam, i stoped using it and let it die

The spam i do get goes into a folder automatically for deletion. So what I dont see doesnt hurt me. Gmail is a godsend in comparison to hotmail.

My point is. Is that I dont get alot of spam. And the spam that I do get isnt a whole lot. In comparison to hotmail or whatever else.

I get a couple a day. I put my gmail address on everything I could, and it still only went up a little.
Now the evildunn mail address, eh... that one has been around for 8 years so it's basically infested.

I have only had my gmail for about a year but I get maybe 1 to 3, which is caught by the filter, a day.
My hotmail easily gets 20 a day, and I constantly ban hosts etc from them, which keeps it down to 20...my wife's hotmail which is not updated as much gets more like 30-40 a day and its hardly worth using.
Gmail has been great for me so far.

i get shitloads of spam on blobbynet, but i have it running though a spam filter before it reaches my mailbox so i never see the messages. i get on average a few hundred emails a week and something crazy like 98% of them are spam.

I get maybe one spam every 2-3 days you probably p****d someone off or are retarded!
Oh and to top it off it's not really spam it's more of shit I signed up for but can't be bothered responding with remove me from mail list plz... like uhh Xfire Insider, Gamespot, Vivendi Universal Games, Fileplanet, and PlayNC news.
I don't think I've ever got a single "lol try cialaisi now $3.67" or "lol nigeria millionz of dollars please eat a c**k" type shit

Hmm, we should create some hotmail accounts with the sole purpose of seeing how many spam mails we can get in a day...like, sign up for those quiz sites and shit, free offers, etc...hmm...
could be amusing

btw, up to 719 now!
Actually the reason I get so much spam is due to dictionary attacks and the fact that anything@mydomain.com gets forwarded to my gmail. Guess I'll have to go back to whitelisting email addresses.
Moral of the story is that I win the spam competition.

while not spam, back in the later 90's i signed up to about 20+ mailing lists
and would get about 1000+ emails a day.
i only cared to read what a couple of the people had to say and filtered
everyone else to a junk folder, which had to be emptied every 2 weeks or
so, when it got near 20,000 lol

Old accounts I dont use have numbers pushing 1000's but I use them mainly to register for services I know are going to spam me. Its disturbing what percentage of email is actually spam.
