A level 55+ Night elf hunter was killing everything in Sun Rock Retreat today. NPCs, players, more NPCs, more players, and maybe a fish or 2. I'm only 24 so he enjoyed 3-shotting me while his pet cat shit on my chest.
But you know what? I didn't mind. Sure, he followed me into Charred Whatchamacallit and griefed me there, too, but I didn't mind that either.
One day I'll be level 60 and other 60's cannot really grief me. Until then, a PvP area should be dangerous. And if the homeland can't spawn enough players to defend it? Too bad!
I still think he's a cowardly piece of shit but the last thing I'm going to do is whine to blizzard that he "shouldn't be able to do that."

I think it stoped being annoying the second there was no exp penelty for getting killed. I can't tell you how much that has imporved my gaming experiance.
The penelty for death is you get interupted in what you were doing and oddly enough that seems just about right to me.
Gone are the days of exp. for 1 hr to make up for getting killed.
It makes me less apt to group when I don't have to but then I'm more likely to be having fun anytime I log on.
