If you're relying on social security for your retirement then I would feel bad for you in the first place.
Theres plenty of other ways to plan for retirement rather than social security. I would suggest some type of IRA or long term CD.

They need to scrap the SS program and stop taxing people twice for that b******t. If you're too stupid to save up for your own retirement, tough shit for you son.

Listen up, this is loaded. It has special bullets that spray on impact. If anyone comes here and tries to get in you just aim at them through the door. Dont open the door, just blast a f*****g hole right through it and them ok honey?
Remember, the safety isnt on so be careful.
f*****g crazy ass rednecks. Its a miracle I didnt blow my head off or something on accident. |
I like how the stupid, liberal idiots in europe, canada and the US, all have the same talking points.
Guns are bad, this is just about the top one.
They will even go as far as to point out the idiots and genetic defects in their life, as examples of why humans should not be trusted with firearms.
Scabby, pops should have been clipped long before he spawned you. Passing on half of his obviously flawed genes was not exactly good for the race. It would be best, in the big picture, for you to just die out.

Unfortunately, gun control is a lost cause. Too many of them, and the market for them is immense. If you want one, you got it. I think the penalties for gun related crimes should be alot tougher, though,
In the spirit of Kbarr's last post: by far the most ridiculous assertion conservatives make is that human actions don't adversely effect the environment. I love that one. There's nothing quite like hearing Rush Limbaugh prattle on about this subject, one in which he has no expertise in whatsoever.
Yep, Rush, greenhouse gases are harmless!

Heh I see idiocy on both "sides of the fence" Akronn. I personally follow the policy of "once it's gone, it's gone" and realize that there are a lot of people out there that do not realize this and have to be shown other ways of why it is important to protect things. For example, you have to prove why these resources are an asset and what economic advantages these assets can provide. It is not as "warm and fuzzy" as "protecting mother nature" but is a bit more practical since there are many people that think in terms of cost versus ideologies. Although I do not know exactly Rush's viewpoints on environmental topics, the assertion that you made, implying that conservatives think people make no impact on the environment, is incorrect. People are not the only impact and are not always the worst impact. As a result, "sealing off the environment" from people and commerce is not a completely viable or "solve all" approach.
With some environmental movements, I know that people can go way too extreme in their approach of dealing with the environment and, although they might have good intentions, actually cause more harm than good. For example, the strict environmental regulations in some regions of the western US prevented brush clearing. As a result, millions of acres of forest burned. In Texas, they use controlled burning to clear out mequite, juniper, and other non-indigenous plants in certain areas to prevent the choking off of native species. The process also clears out brush. It works. It was not started due to an environmental activist but instead by ranchers who have a vested interested in maintaining their land. Initially, the environmental groups were "up in arms" when it was first started, but they are pretty quiet about it now. The native species have come back and a lot of regions have become prime pasture for livestock grazing. It is a win-win situation and I wish this type of philosophy would be applied elsewhere instead of turning resources into a type of "museum".
Yes, people do have an impact on the environment but I believe it is not to the extreme some environmental groups like to imply since people tend to forget that nature, other animals, etc also make a big impact. We can't put the environment sealed off in a little box and say, "Dont touch." The environment is there for us to use but as we use it, we need to keep in mind that we are also its caretaker. It is the philosophy that the ranchers involved with the controlled burning in Texas follow (as well as in other parts of the country). Maintaining a good balance between the two is what is needed instead of taking things from one extreme to another.

Guns are not the problem of gun control. Gun education is the problem. Gun availibility in some states is a problem as well. Gun shows where you can show up and buy a semi-automatic assault rifle is ridiculous, but for the most part, legal guns cause very few deaths. Since most of these deaths occur to children is why gun education is important. Some hunting rifles in mid western states are a bit ridiculous as well, but since the hunting density is so low, there are not many hunting accidents. So to conclude, Gun Education and availibility of assault weapons are really the only problem with legal weapons.
Illegal arms is a whole different subject that really falls outside the realm of what the governments think of as "Gun Control"

What? Dude...Gun Control is about eliminating gun crimes. I.E. some d*****s buying a gun from a swap shop, or off the street, to go shoot the guy down the street.
