Now the question I raise is this. Let's say at the age of 20 you decide instead of blonde hair you'd rather have black. With this technology could you in fact do this so that it is permanant and would be passed down to your children?
Or let's say that your wife has the genes of a whale and the acne of a 14 yr old. Could you send her to the Plastic Geneticist and have the fat genes re arranged and the chronic acne that her mother even had when she died taken out of the picture?

Why? It's not like the intention is to create a new breed of super human that are have gills and lungs that allow them to breathe on land and under water then force them to labor away building an ocean city for people to live in when the ozone layer collapses.
Or weakening the genes of old people so that they will die and stop collecting social security.
Although getting rid of old people would certainly be a good idea... hrm...

Well, it would be an interesting thing to see how far they will allow people to go to alter their genetic structure.
Where do you cut it off?
What if your wife dies in a horrible car accident, you never really get over her, and so you go out, find another woman, and alter her genetic code to be EXACTLY the same as your dead wife's? That going a bit far you think?

Don't worry if genetic engineers f**k up we can always blame it on video games! Like Return to Castle Wolfenstien where the Nazis were raising corpses and all sorts of crazy shit! Or Resident Evil and how Racoon City turned to zombie ass shit with that big tyrant thing flippin out and shit.
