"The trend is to have an ineligibility period," he said. "Then after certain conditions have been fulfilled, the athlete will be able to compete in his or her new ****."
The exact length of the waiting period hasn't been determined. Schamasch said officials want to make sure that any side effects of hormone therapy have worn off.
Schamasch said he didn't know whether there were any potential transsexual athletes in line to compete in next summer's Athens Olympics, but noted that several international sports federations have asked the IOC for guidance.

what do they compete as? will they have an unfair advantage? (esp male to female.. you dont lose it all regardless of hormone therapy).
lets be all inclusive now, dont anyone's feelings get hurt.

you didn't even spell "gomorrah" correctly tard. And to answer your question no, the only advantage a mtf transexual would have over their female counterpart would be their skeletal structure (which varies widely). Estrogen levels tend to run higher than women that were born xx and anatomically female, and muscle maintaince and growth is largely testosterone dependant.

I disagee with this. Its not fair for the real women imo. Their is more of a advantage then bone structure. If a man doesn't change till after puberty, I consider that a huge boost in a lot of sports, a disadvantage in some.

i'll have to take the stand against this. Your muscle mass may start to decrease when on hormone treatments, but what's to stop someone from getting ripped, getting a **** change, and then just maintaining that muscle... you don't need to do much to maintain muscle once you have it.

It seems like this could lead to unfairness.
if there is going to be seperation between genders for competition, then it needs to be based on something more internal than **** organs.
It should be based on chromosomes i guess.
XX = woman
XY = man
if you are offended by the fact that someone calls you a man when you have XY chromosomes and a remodeled vagina, well, you might have some thinking to do.
