Is anyone cool in taht guild? I have a friend who just joined tonight and before calling him gay, i just wanted to make sure he really was.
but i wont' call him gay if there's anyone cool there.

There was a ranger in that guild who was one of the nicest people I met in EQ. Lanewulf was the name, although it's been a couple years since I last talked with him/her. Lanewulf was always in the karanas or highpass buffing newbs and being an all-around nice player.

I remember one time I was helping out on a guildie's shawl quest in iceclad and like we passed like 3 full groups of GETCOs killing Lodizal and we ran past them and during that five seconds it took us to run past them, one guy from pak stole Lodizal. It was great.

Why is it that people that sit around and buff newbies are always considered the nice players? I tried doing that in a park in real life once, I just hung out and gave the kids advice like staying in school and what not. The parents didn't take a liking to it very well, although the homeless guy that let me blow him in the bathroom did.

i personaly dont know the guild as a whole, or very many members in it... but all the ones that have joined FoM from Getco have been some very well manner people.i woudln't bash them. there same as anyone else they just choose a nice family guild rather then your high end EP + guilds.

I was in highhold keep or high pass hold or what ever.
I was soloing some of those goblins or what ever they are.
(damn lack of EQ is making me return to normal)
Anyway They said I was stealin their mobs and they sicked some druid on me who was all like.
Druid tells you: Stop taken my friends mobs or I will own you!
Paden tells Druid: What ever go kite a goblin for 20 minutes.
Druid tells you: OMG LETS DUEL NOW!
So I was dueling him and pretty much winnings and he was all attacking me near guards and they all jumped his ass and killed him.
Was funny shit.

GETCO peeps were some of the first I met IRL from EQ at the Fan Faire in Maryland....they were very nice and I even have some pics somewhere altho I will be damned if I can remember their names at all  Alcohol does that to ya :p

Very nice guild, been around for ages... I think they got the highest member count also now (this includes the twinks) its like up to 830 or something... If you want a good family guild its the guild. I was in it for awhile just not much to post 65 there

GETCo is a good family guild with lots of nice people in it. My sister is guild leader and my mother is an officer. LOL.
If your friend is a newbie, he prolly will enjoy it. It's a great guild to meet lots of people, they are very helpful and welcome you with open arms.

GETCO is one of the oldest guilds on our server.
They have also one of the greatest accomplishments in Everquest:
I have never met one of them who was not friendly and helpful...cant count the number of times on of them ported me for free for CR or helped with a rez here or there back in the day, or me runnin around with a level 15 toon one of them stopped and buffed me etc.
So what they are mostly low levels...I bet they have a LOT more fun than all the uber folks who are quitting out of boredom lately
I would love to tag one of my lowbies with them, but I am afraid I would suffer the same fate as Fatt and get booted for having a potty mouth.
And if any of them are reading this, drop me a tell in game if yall ever need any help with...well anything.

Ive been in getco for 4 years now and boy have things changed...
peeps would get kicked for saying anything even r rated.. but now thats not so. just the other day a guy got fired in rl and signed in just to call us all names and rant and rave.. i sent him a tell trying to calm him a bit being an officer and he told me to go f myself and he didnt get kicked for that.
But one thing hasnt changed.. were arent taking on Plane of time anytime soon and we have some of the coolest peeps to ever make a char.

Lol i was plin a new toon one day in crush bone and one of my macros had the word hell in it. I was grouped with a getco person who asked me to stop saying the word hell he/she didn't like and their mom might see it and get mad. I asked him if his mom was hot and he kicked me from the group. hehe
