Thinking about getting one for my son. Any good games for it that an adult might enjoy also.

Monkey Balls is fun, for adults and kids alike. Well I only like the flying one, but I bet he will like it, depending on how old he is.
Ohh Zelda: Windtalker is alright. Didn't beat it before I gave it back to my friend, but it was decent.

He is 5. I know video games are "bad" for kids but I figure GC is the less of 3 evils of systems when it comes to kids.

Then Monkey Balls would be a good choice for him.
But a 5 year old cant appreciate a f*****g console system as a present. They want rattlers and shit. Actually nm... I know some 5 year olds that skateboard and are good at it

videos are bad for children my ass, short of genetics i blame video games for making me intelligent, not school. School kices you knowledge, but nothing short of competition or playing games where you need to be ingenuitive to win breeds intelligence. However, games of today seemed to be made super duper lamo easy making them more life watching a movie, removing this cruical aspect. A lot of people thought Prince of Persis was a hard game, it wasd compared to shit of today, but gimme a break that was was easy peasy.
in conclusion, a video games are only as bad as the ones you allow hjim to playl, and GC has tons of crap for children. Get him that monkey ball aand get double dash as well.

I saw two brightly-dressed kids playing that in the mall, was one of the fruitiest things I've ever seen. Poor bastards are probably going to grow up and "double dash" other men thanks to that f*****g game.

Comparing post counts is sad.
Also, listing all the good games coming out for gamecube isnt really conducive to determining whether or not a 5 year old would enjoy it.
Anyway, gamecube would be a great choice for a kid that young, nintendo is known for durable products, and there are many family-friendly games (most of which are enjoyable by adults too, unless they have some sort of complex about their peers making fun of them for playing "kiddy games"). Also, there are a few games that are quite simple to play, the Godzilla melee game uses like two buttons, and the newer kirby's air ride uses one button. Also, if you get a new gamecube now, you get the free zelda disc with the two NES zeldas, and the two N64 zeldas. Classic games that everyone interested in games should play at least once.
