Ok, after playing the Xbox for over a month. There is really only ONE decent game, Halo. Xbox = XSux.
PS: Shenme 2 was a great game, so make that 2 good games.
PS2, played all the games I wanted to and waiting for the new ones due out during x-mas. PS2 still owns.
Now I got a Gamecube  Love the Resident Evil series and Zelda.
I was wondering what other games are worth playing besides those two?
Metriod any good?

metroid is good.
I also liked Bond: Nightfire, Sonic Collection (not sonic adventure), Mario Party 4 (especially with 3 others playing), Gauntlet, Super Monkey Ball, and others I cant remember at the moment.

no shit heh i traded my ps2 for a friends gamecube for a week to try iy out. metroid was really nice. kind of short like the rest but fun. and had almost no connection with the others. i didnt like the weapon and missile combos they put in. it made it a pain in the ass after getting use to just switching between weapons
as for ps2 i cant wait for metal gear 3. i was really disapointed i didnt get to kill ocelot in this one

Gamecube is nothing but a console full of recycled games. Refurbishing the Resident Evil games wasn't enough so now they're reboxing all of the s****y Zelda N64 games. Wonderful.
Windwaker was complete and utter shit, despite the fact that I thought the graphics and animation were impressive considering the weak processing power of the Gamecube.
Metroid Prime is hands down one of the best games of the year, it's too bad it's not that long and as mentioned above, not on par with the other Metroid games.
Nintendo hasn't made a good console since the SNES. The only thing they're good at is repackaging shit. The smartest move they've made in the past 8 years was retracting their idiotic decision to turn down Squaresoft. The biggest thing Nintendo has to fear is themselves. They're practically digging their own grave.

will definately have to agree there. squaresoft makes some of my all time favorite games. konomi makes some realy nice games i like to. but they are all on ps2 now. i need to get a new ps2 or update it somehow. i have one of thr original ps2 consoles and it has alot of problems running the ps1 games and non dvd based ps2 games.

Nintendo = Games for kids.
PS2 = Large selection but limited modding options
XBOX = King of mod boxes. Good and getting better gaming selections. XBLive
XBOX vs PS2 $$ to $$, XBOX is the better box with the built in HDD, Ethernet, Dolby Digital 5.1 processing w/ HDAV pack.

I was at bestbuy the other day was talking to a guy telling him what a nice boat he just got theni realized it was an Xbox 
If a flood ever comes we know that all the xbox owners will be safe all they have to do is jump on there Xbox and the rest of there friends can get on the controller. 
Metroid Prime is a good game with some of the best graphics for any game of 2002.

Xbox as a system is the best system. Smoother running, better graphics.
But, game selection is not only limited, but it targets too narrow of an audience. Pick up a game at random, and chances are its fighting, sports, or shooter.
As someone who likes to play games, I would go ps2 for selection and variety. Especially since it can play the old ps1 games, doubling the already large selection.
If your ps2 only runs one format of disk, try cleaning the lens. A dvd player cleaning kit should work. If not, it might be a cracked lens. Usually happens from leaving it on pause too long, burning it out.

ps2 also has ethernet adapters and broadband adapter. it also has dolby 5.1. though i was disapointed with metal gear sons of liberty being that only the last movie in it was 5.1 and the game was in 2 channel. ill never buy a first person shooter for a console. i play them solely for multiplayer and the mods you can make for them/player made maps etc. that and i like my mouse and keyboard for those type of games. xbox features to many sports/fighting games. i dont like sports games they get boring after 30 seconds and the fighting games lose their entertainment value after you have beat them or if there is nobody to play against. i like playing in the arcade but i always end up loseing money becasue i dont play those type of game often and get my ass handed to me.
i would like to see a k3 come out thouh. i like the combo system they had in them. as far as realism i think it was closer than mortal kombat ever came. the fatalaties were just corny and all the other shit like animality and babality was off the chart on lameness. i didnt like how the uppercuts started from the ground to 3 feet above the guys face and you hit them so hard they fly up out of the screen. will have to try out the new one and see how it is. but if its at all like the others

The xbox is just nicer overall, the ps2 was too much like the ps1 for my tastes. Gamecube has some great games but no dvd player is a pain since I had to swap av cords.
Good games for cube: Soul Caliber 2, Smash Bros, Rogue Squadron, Simpsons Road Rage, Two Towers, Metroid (may want to rent it). The nintendo games I usually like kinda suck (mario sunshine, Star Fox Adventures) or arent out yet (mario kart/golf, namco starfox).

GC is whatevers. im selling mine to my friend since i never touch it. metroid was fun for the first few hours then i got bored of it. star fox kinda blew. have some other games that i didnt really enjoy either. only game id actually play is smash bros. *shrug*

Another good game for Xbox is splinter cell. I thought it was a little too easy but can kill some time. Halo is the best multi-player game especially when playing 4 on 4 in different rooms. Next game i'm getting is Star Wars: Knights of the Old republic. Doesn't look amazing, but should prove to be pretty decent.

Does size really matter? Probably not when it means having a much better system in the larger one. Unless you are going to put a game system in your car who gives a shit how big it is. I would much rather have a xbox over a gc.

Buy a dreamcast, download and burn a fuckload of self bootable games ... enjoy.
I'm sorry but my Dreamcast is still the most played of all the systems I own, simply because of the variety and the fact if you have a CD burner, you essentially have a complete videogame library.
In terms of the gamecube, I'm waiting to see what becomes of the end of Square/Square-enix's exclusivity deal with Sony. I'm also excited about the FF installment planed for the cube.
