I keep hearing this assumption here and there, and I'm not sure how much truth there is to it. Is GW: Eye of the North really supposed to be just an introductory piece for the second part of GW? If so, the fears that it'll be half-assed and not very carefully handled may prove to be founded

Me, I wouldn't be worried. Eye of the North is officially introduces as a "bridge campaign" toward GW 2, but I expect it won't add significantly less content than any of the previous expansion packs did. 3 new races, 150 new skills, start at level 20 that's good enough for me, and by default, should damn well be good enough for you too.
