Theres been like 0928438999.214 threads for this. Everyone gives says the same games which are nothing I am interested in. Seems I am stuck with tactics intill like Final Fantasy 3 is released for GBA or some shit.

That would be so awesome if they released FF 3 for GBA.

well most recommendations seem to be RPG's.

I'm not necessarly looking for an RPG, infact if it's not an RPG that would make it alot better. I just play it to kill time while im searching for groups in FFXI or EQ.

Advance Wars was great. I havent played the sequel yet. Also, you can get advance wars for $20 or less new.

I want to get the new Castlevania. I bought Harvest Moon today, been playing it for like the past 6 hours.

It is fun, sort of like Animal Crossing i guess, you have a farm and you take care of stuff on it to raise money. Sounds ghey, but actually is pretty damn fun and addicting.

Robotech game is a fun side scrolling fighting game, sorta ala regular nintendo's Contra. Part that imho was cool was the ability to shift yer Veritech Fighter from Robot to Half Jet/Robot to Jet and back at will. Not really sure what you like in terms of games though.

I have done like 10 missions on FF tactics.

God you take for f*****g ever. I've got like 45 missions under my belt and I'm on about 11 hours.

Say it with me son:

Archers/Snipers

You'd be surprised how fast a battle goes when you got 3-4 people getting initial shots.

I usually go:

Marche (Fighter)
Monteblanc (Time Mage/Black Mage)
Sniper
Sniper
White Mage/Archer
Soldier

All my other characters do dispatch.

Yeah, that is real damn slow, I'm at 46 hrs, 17 mins, 194 missions clear. Haven't played in about a month.

Marche - Black Magic, Fighter Tech, Bonecrusher, Double Sword, Combat Combo

Montblanc - Gunmanship, Black Magic, Counter, Concentrate

#3(Human) - Ninja Skill, Fighter Tech, Bonecrusher, Double Sword, Combat Combo

#4(Bangaa) - Dragon Tech, Sacred Tech, Counter, Weapon Atk+, Combat Combo

#5(Viera) - Corner, Spirit Magic, Reflex

#6(Nu Mou) - Phantasm Skill (main was Sagacity Skill), Black Magic, Return Magic, Turbo MP

Man don't you use snipers?

I find you use your Viera for fencers till they get Reflex, then switch em to Archers or Snipers.

Good times when you can't even f*****g hit them with physical attacks =P

Well it matters.

I personally like to have some people stay out of fighting range, so I have Snipers/Archers in back or on high ground.
I like to have a WHM for protect and shell.
I like to have Monte for his kickass totema (he always racks up points as a blm).

Do you have one of the programmable cartridges for the GBA ?

If so, I can show you how to download over 1300+ games for it for free. (Everything commercially available).

http://www.videogamecompany.com/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_DevelopmentTools__Flash_Linkers__PC_GBA_Linkers_88.html

is an example of what I am talking about. (I have never ordered from them before, just posting a link as an example)

Here is a list of the ROM's available in newgroups: http://release.playeradvance.org/

Enjoy,

Frashii

SNES/NES for memories

Well, the cartidge in question allows you to play all the ROM's on a real GBA (or SP).

So its not like playing them in an emu, its playing them on the actual machine, just with a programmable cartridge.

yeah, I've got the F2A 256mbit kit Frashii, I posted about it in the other one. Only problem is, it doesn't hold as many games as I thought it did (256 megabytes vs. megabit)

usually fit 2 games on it min (haven't seen anything over 128mbit yet) and it only takes maybe 10 mins to erase, flash, and put saves onto it, so it's not a huge deal =)
