Good to see Glastonbury Festival is doing it's bit. I read today that Michael Eavis is sending five tonnes of used wellington boots to Africa to help farmers. He said on the BBC website that 'he was delighted the mountain of boots had been found a new lease of life'.
The boots have been stored instead of going into landfill here in the UK, so its all good for our environment and farmers in Africa. No doubt more funky wellies will be saved this year at Glastonbury 2008. The full story can be seen here.
