Went to 6 stores in my area. All sold out. Over 50-100 people have the game on backorder on each store. Guy I knew in highschool that works at gamestop said they sold 20 game cards within 30 minutes to people who don't even have the game yet, "just hoping".
THIS IS f*****g RIDICULOUS. But I saw atleast 30 copies of EQ2 on the shelf collecting dust...

Order it from Canada, for some reason we got more copies of WoW than there are inhabitants in the whole country.
www.futureshop.ca has a few copies left, their price is about 20$ more than other places though, however, I can't see online stores for the local stores.
*edit* no clue if you can order from Canada from the US too.
*edit 2* EB Games online shows it as in stock...

EB at the local mall was all out yesterday, but the district manager was there and he called another location 5 mins away and they had 2 left. He got them to hold one for me and the other employee at EB got one held for him.  Now I just need to wait for my brother to get the cable back and I'll go get it. Suck it, b*****s.

It's obscene how many people are playing WoW.
My friend comes over, says, "Is that World of Warcraft?" as he looks at me browsing the AH. He then tells me nearly every single person at the Best Buy he works at plays it. I call it b******t until I see WoW desktops on every single computer in the store.

I work at a Gamestop in Lancaster PA we've got copies most of the week we only run out of the game and the game cards about two days before new shipment usually. It probably depends on the area you're in. So if you feel like driving here I can sell ya one, or if you really need one I could buy one and ship it to ya

What is so great about this game?!?!?! please someone tell me!! I'm playing and I just don't get it. It's ok, but it's not a revolution in gaming. Is it because it's most peoples first MMORPG?? (outside of realpoor)
Besides being a little more easy to get into, and being somewhat more convienent, it's just as good as EQ2 was. Both are just average in my opinion, and slowly lose taste before your free trial even runs out.
Is it my class? Are paladins just f*****g boring? I have no desire to even log on and play him, it just seemed like I was doing the same shit over and over.
hell people I used to know from school, who used to rag on me for paying $13.00 a month for Everquest are playing!!
I remember their exact quotes "You have to be a f*****g idiot to pay for a game monthly after you've already bought it in retail"
now they play non stop, and are bigger addicts than I ever was on EQ. Sorry had to let loose.

Diablo 1 was the last great game made by Blizzard, everything else is just the same shit.
I'm with Haph really. The only reason I have considered picking up WoW is the PVP.

doesn't seem like there is much to do to me. I just basically do quests, that is all...every once in awhile i'll do some blacksmithing. I go to one place, to all the quests there, then move to the next. None of them are terribly unique either. Kill 10 ghouls, kill 10 orcs, kill 15 werewolves, kill 5 murlocs. Deliver this, deliver that, and collect this item.
as I said, maybe it's my class...maybe Paladins are just boring. I dunno. Most likely, i'm just bored of this whole genre. Nothing is really new, it's just upgraded.

Its probably because you've grown up since EQ and most people don't stick with the same shit they did in adolesence except for the essentials: (**** and masturbation)
You really grow out of the EQ era style of gaming especially if you started that shit at the teen age. Most will agree and the reason WoW is a big hit is because a) blizzard has a huge fan base and b) most of these kids never played EQ, just WW3 and love the Warcraft lore.

So are you past level 20 yet, have you done an instance yet? Why are you playing the easiest class in the game if you want a fun challenge?

I'm level 26, and I didn't know the paladin was the easiest class. I bought the game, looked at the classes and said "Hey, I like Paladins" so I made one. there wasn't a big sign above the paladin class saying "THIS IS TEH EASY CLASS!!!"
