Is it even worth it?

I remember playing at release, but with the servers as bad as they were and my computer being low-end (and this was several years ago), it really did suck.

I wouldn't mind giving it another shot, but I'm not really up for it if the game was seriously improved with the x-packs.

yeah it has, there is no lag or the major issues that were present during release. Try it, its free, what do you have to lose.

Haha does the game still have those cars the size of a suitcase? Im pretty sure the only way a person could fit into one of those is if they were chopped up into peices and shoved in there like a jigsaw puzzle.

I loved the game when I came back the second time. I quit after release because of the well-known issues and I was one of the few to come back after they re-released it. In my opinion, the game is great. The only reason I quit because of lack of players. Most people were so jaded by initial release they never tried it again.

That'd be me. All I remember, sans the aforementiond issues, were the big handguns that were uber--something about fire damage simply ripping the shit out of mobs.

Then I realized my second problem: 450 mhz, 128 ram and voodoo 3.

Haha.

Yeah. They looked like a modern day pistol (just about 3x the size), were silver and had Fire Dmg. Got two in the same single player instance.

And, what the f**k, those s****y "leet" mobs made the game into even more of a joke--and not a good one at that.

as i'm patching this, i'm actually quite excited.

This was the MMO i was most excited about by far.

I needed a change from eq. I LOVED it when it started. the game itself left eq in the dust. the mission system with instanced battle zones were brilliant.

If they had been able to stabilize things within a month, I may well have played this for a couple years.

that said, i'm still excited to get back in and wander around.

WoW sucks.
