1) Approach the person who is talking about "peace" and saying there should be, "no retaliation."

3) When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"
4) Wait until he says something to the effect of, "Because that would just cause more innocent deaths, which would be awful and we should not cause more violence." Or "America has brought it on itself, given its imperialist actions and has angered the people of..."
5) When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face as hard as you can.
6) When he gets back up to punch you, point out that it would be a mistake and contrary to his values to strike you, because that would, "be awful and he should not cause more violence." In addition, tell him that his "actions angered you and that he brought it on himself."
7) Wait until he agrees that he has pledged not to commit additional violence and that the reason you punched him was mostly his fault.
Punch him in the face again, harder this time.
Repeat steps 5 through 8 until they understand that sometimes it is necessary to punch back.

Ya it's more like that scene in 'The Inspector General' (with Danny Kaye) where the mayor hits his subordinate, the subordinate hits his subordinate, that guy hits the guard at the door on his way out, the guard hits a farmer walking by, and the farmer hits his mule.
Violence breeds violence.
At least when you make an analogy to further your 'cause', make one that fits. Afghanistan was punching back. Iraq was punching the next guy that came along.
If you need lame analogies like that to defend your countries actions you believe less in what they stand for than I do. Go USA for getting Saddam, don't get me wrong. But don't defend it on the grounds of punching back, because that ground is shaky at best.

Condoms only work 97% of the time.

If you were in an Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, 3rd Edition, campaign with a paladin and a sorceress you might find yourself thinking how unlikely 3% is to happen. Well, sir, just imagine rolling and 20-sided die until the #20 lands face-up. That sure is close enough. I hope this analogy sinks in to your "Game-addled" brain, buddy-boy.
Young man, I gather you have learned your lesson by now. You don't roll the dice with others' lives! No, sir. Now you have to be a big boy and step up to the challenge of adulthood.
Are you man enough to raise Celestra's ill-begotten child of lust? Can you take her higher? To the place where eagles soar? Can you hold her heart gently, yet firmly, and soothe the worries from her mind? From her sweet, sweet mind? Can you?
