Alright, my PS2 is about 2 years old and its basically gone to shit, I think theres just way too much dust on the lens or something but I dont want to open it up and void the warranty.
I checked the playstation website and it says the warranty is only like 90 days, so does that mean I can't send it in to get it fixed/cleaned?
Also does anyone know of any websites with info on how to clean a PS2, I really don't want to drop 150$ on a new one..

Basically the only way you'll get a new one is if you own the oldest model, that's the only one--I believe--they recognize as being flawed.
Open the sucker up, it's your only option at this point. It's not hard either. There are websites and if google fails you, I can probably dig some documentation up or rehash what I know.

I e-mailed Sony about this, and they agreed to take mine back. I got it the holiday season that it was released, so it's one of the first rounds they made that falls under that "flawed" catergory.
