Leafs lose 2 more players and as I predicted Flyers can't handle the Sundin/Mogilny line......and Flyers goaltending is completely horrible

Ottawa chokes

Edmonton/Dallas series will live up to being a great one! Go Edmonton!

Jersey - no surprise there

The Leafs were badly outplayed and should consider themselves lucky. I said it will probably go 7, and I still stand by that. Losing players? The Leafs can't afford it.

Ottawa isn't that great, but neither are the Isles. I thought the Sens would have an easier time, but oh well. They don't look great right now. In the end, though, it doesn't matter who wins this dud of a series as both are easy 2nd round losers.

Boston/NJ: no surprise here either. It should be a sweep and I'll bet Broduer only allows 4 or 5 goals in the process.

Injuries may hurt Dallas afterall, but this series is obviously far from over. It was a tight game and neither team played bad, and those can go either way.

Even with all the leafs out of the game, the flyers still get pwned.

Ottawa was very disappointing.

Dallas is still a force to be reckoned with.

Leafs series is very random right now, im not really sure what the hell is gonna happen anymore

Yes Leafs had two more injuries last night which will hurt them big time, but Leafs can score - hell Checkmanic or however the hell you spell it Wink only stopped 10 shots and he looked like shit on those too

Yeah, Cechmanek's a piece of shit, but there' no question that Phil. was outplaying them hard for half of the game. Luckily God is a Leafs fan

ROFL yeah because the ref's sure aren't heh

There was some really BAD penalty calls in that game I think one bad one on Philly but for the most part WTF were the refs thinking - specially the calls in the first period

Leafs were only out played in the 2nd period

Cechmanek is good in the season , blows ass in the playoffs. Save Percent of 0.714 way to go , until he stops choking in the playoffs , I don't see the flyers going that far in the playoffs with him in the net.

Once Ottawa is in the finals is when I stop doubting that they are choke artist , I have them losing to the islanders this series.

Jersey/Boston - the bruins could steal a game or two , but I don't see them winning a series against the Devils. They made it a one goal game last night , but that's about it , was never a great scoring chance after that.

Stars/Oilers - Didn't get to see any of this game.

Stars/Oilers was an amazing game. Stars played way too undisciplined, hell, they're Captain took a miscondcut with about 2 min. left when they were down by a goal. They'll get it together though, no chance i see them losing this series, but it will be closer then expected

Actually, they lost 4 of 18 but that's a little misleading. They haven't won since March 28th (two weeks ago!), and they were winless in the 9 previous games before the 18 game duration you brought up.

They don't have the experience, depth, or goaltending to beat Dallas over 7 games.

I'm not sure which team your talking about Akronn but from what I've seen over the years Edmonton has fairly good power forwards and there defense core isn't bad either. Tommy Salo has his good and bad games but I wouldn't say they are lacking goaltending.

No Question Edmonton has goaltending, they do have some nice forwards for sure. It will be close series no matter what.

Tommy Salo wasn't even a top-20 goalie this year! 2.71 GAA and a save% below .900 are awful numbers these days. We would've rode his butt outta town here in Detroit. Also, Salo folds in the playoffs every year... last night was only his 4th win in 16 tries Razz

No, Edm doesn't have a money goalie, and when's the last time a team won the cup without one? Been quite awhile, I make a case maybe for Detroit's second cup when they won with Osgood. He's always been just average.

And you'll have to tell me who you're looking at on their blueline, I don't see any depth at all. Steve Staios is their stud on defense? I'm a big hockey fan and I've never heard of him lol!

Akronn - look at the team in front of him as well not just the keeper....there is nothing wrong with Salo. Hell Cujo got scored on plenty in front of Detroit as well but they outscored all the teams they beat because their offense is so strong - Edmonton can score

You're over-estimating the Oilers.

Their offense is 6th best out of the 8 western playoff teams, and their defense dead last. Detroit outscored them by nearly 40 goals during the season, it's not fair to compare the two Razz

It's midly irratating when every team is compared to the one you root for. I'm a die hard Leaf fan but I don't compare them to the Oilers. Clearly Edmonton isn't the favoured to win but I suppose I always cheer for the underdogs. Die wings die

Haha, *if* the Wings are going to lose a series, it's gonna be the one starting tonight (against Anaheim). This one is gonna be on CuJo 'cause the team usually sleepwalks through the first series (remember, they were down 2-0 to Vancouver last year, and LA knocked 'em out in the 1st the year before). It seems the team as a whole only gets up for Dallas, Colorado, and the like.
