Finally, LOTRO is available. I was counting down the days until it was released. And Im not disappointed! Its one of the best games both in terms of graphics and storyline. What are your first impressions about it? Has it fulfilled your expectations or has it disappointed you? I think its great that they managed to preserve the spirit of the books.

Thats exactly what I thought when I started playing the game. When I was little I read Tolkiens books and it was my favorite reading. Not long after that, LOTR movie trilogy fascinated me completely, and this game was a crowning touch. Its great that the creators managed to preserve the spirit of the books. Of course, this doesnt mean that its a copycat game version of the books or movies. It has its unique characteristics, and I couldnt help being amazed (just like everybody else) at the idea of Player vs Monster Player combat style. I havent still reached that stage of the game but Ive seen screenshots and it really looks great. It would be good if the authors could obtain rights to incorporate The Silmarillion into a possible upcoming games episode.
