After years of hunting down a certain - silver - roman coin I found it. In fact, I found 2, both in remarkable condition. For once, they're real too! I went to a jeweler today to have the settings done - having them both made into a ring. I'm getting the first drawings for them somewhere next week!!! It's the perfect gift ...

wait, so, you're melting down a roman coin and turning it into a ring?

God no ... I like bigger rings, I only have 2, but I saved for them for ages. So this one I've wanted for years, a roman ring in a polished nice but rough setting... I wouldn't even consider melting it!

Honestly, Occ, the Roman economy hasn't been the same since Constantine moved the capital to Byzantium, so it isn't a big deal.
