Why don't you fuckmasters stop picking on Final Fantasy games? I know it's hella cool and "in" right now to only like imported RPGs with names like "Yoshimbo Popcorn Fighters: Eternal Bronze Edition 6", but gimme a break. You can't tell me you sat there with a huge frown on your face playing all 97 hours of Final Fantasy 7,8 and 10, hating every minute of it. If you did, you need some more sun or medicine for your teen angst.
In conclusion, I like Suikoden games the best, but Final Fantasy is always worth the money (except 9 which I didn't really like).

I usually like Final Fantasies, but I just couldn't finish 8. It was too futuristic and I didn't like the Draw System. That said, I liked FF9 because it was a good return to roots, and I don't own a PSGimp.

FF6 = the best
FF7 = good overall
FF8 = abysmal
FF9 = Great game I thought, returned to the series roots
FF10 = ups and downs... great graphics, tough battles (that flying dragon thing was nasty) a decent story, but it also lost the world map... I mean the real world map... who the f**k thought to do that?

I can't believe you guys didn't like 8. I thought the graphics were lush, I loved the music, the card game and the acadamy idea, and FINALLY the game had an end boss that was tough. The last tough story bosses I've seen since then (including FF7) didn't come until Yunalesca and that thing in Bevelle temple.

Ynualesca was the only time in the entire game that I got my ass handed to me. I almost got wiped on Evrae, but managed to barely win that one.

I think the new "Job" feature is cool .. kinda like mixing in D&D or EQ with FFX .. very cool conecpt . I am looking forward to this and will pick it up as soon as my local Best Buy has it

I'm an avid EverQuest player. How avid? Well, I have spent over 140 hours writing assorted tools and scripts for the sole purpose of making my game time more customized. I have spent a great deal of my life in EQ.
Playing Final Fantasy - any version, any platform - is a waste of perfectly good gaming time.
