What do you think of this combo? I've never tired it myself, but I know some people who've played it and who swear it's the dog's bollocks… I have my doubts, though. Not sure at which level would I be able to charm mobs, at the actual beastmaster level or at the temp sub job level?
Don’t really know what "dog's bollocks" means, but form the rest of your post I'd assume it's "good".
The charmability of mobs in your example depends on your actual BST level, the level of your main, RGR or otherwise, has nothing to do with it whatsoever. In general, BST as a subbjob works great for soloing and farming. YMMV, of course.
