I dont know who have you been talking to, but making your own character is almost the most fun you will have in any game. I did mine in two days, but just because I took the time to think twice before I made any choice. I am sure that you normally dont need more then a couple of minutes to do it. Unless if you are like me, then you need a couple of days. Not because you are slow or anything, but because you are a perfectionist. The most important thing is to get comfortable with the character you made, because it will stick with you until the end of the game.
