I am somehow attracted to monk character in Final Fantasy XI, and I am wondering what is good subjob for him. I still have not started to play the game, but I will soon. I have read that the subjobs are very important aspect of the game, and that every player must choose what several professions. Is that true? In addition, if it is, what are good ones for monk?

I do not play the game with monk character, but I think that the job is very important. If you pick right sub job for your character, you will save a lot of money and nerves in some quests. With right sub job, you will be able to make certain items and pieces of armor and weapons. It is good idea to choose carefully, and not to rush into that. Your decision is going to be with you throughout the game, so choose carefully. Final Fantasy XI is very good game for spending many hours playing it.
