Hello
Since I've installed my new X-fi sound card, FF XI performs terribly. The sound as well as some anims are choppy, and I think loading takes more time. It's the only application that I know of that's been adversely affected by the upgrade. Anyone else had a problem like that?

Not with the sound card, no, though I had just about every other kind of technical difficulties in my time with FF XI.
X-fi is buggy hardware. Doa search on some of the MMO gaming forums, you'll find that it causes problem with LotrO, WoW, and a host of other popular games.
