Why is credit card required for Final Fantasy free trial? I only want to test if the game is good, but in the application form, I must enter my CC details. Why is that true? I do not understand this move of developers and entire production team. Can I somehow register for my free trial without giving my card details?

I am with you. I had also seen this strange problem. I have thought this through, and I have come to explanation. I think that they ask for the credit card details because they think that you will like the game so much if you try it, you will pay the monthly fee. That is why they ask for the details now, and not later. This way, it is much easier, so you do not need to do that after. If you like the game, than you just pay the fee and continue playing. I think that Final Fantasy is well worth all of the effort, and that is why credit card is needed at free trial sign up.

There used to be these sets of codes in the retail copy where you can let ppl test drive the game for a limited time for free. buddy pass or something. Google it?
