Suprnova doesn't have anything but a Jp version of the ROM, if anyone chances upon one/has one, I'd really like to play.

Just downloaded Chain of Memories, got the urge to play this as well.

I seriously can't get over what GBA produced with the intro. So good for the hardware. But the game working on a card system... meh, I'm not really driven to play it.

Zuld, penny for your thoughts on the matter!

What exactly is new in this version over the re-release they had of 1 and 2 for the PS1 like a year ago?

They've added new mini-dungeons that lead down into really badass "boss" type random encounters on the second floors. Lots more hp, class changes (thief for one is a hell of a lot better, WHM has about 20hp less than the fighter,) can now save ANYWHERE, even inside of a dungeon, the use of an MP system instead of a couple of casts of each spell level, sprites / magic effects all re-done from what I remember. No more Silver weapons in Elfheim.

I've only played about 6 hours so far, just got the Rat's Tail, about to get a class change, the airship, and fight Kary. It's definitely worth the $25 I spent for it, and I haven't even played FF2 yet.

One thing about FF2, how exactly do you build your stats/mp. I understood weapon skills come from use, but stats/hp/mp I have no idea.

I only played in about 6-7 hours on FF2 for the PS1, basically your HP goes up from getting hit, and i THINK MP goes up from casting spells. I remember it was a pain in the ass because my main character would NEVER get hit and he fell way behind in HP compared to the others

You had to hit them yourself after a while.

I think they fixed this a little in this version of FF2.

Man it's awesome, cooler than I thought it would be. It's not like a normal card game.

I suppose it's a lot better when you're on a GBA. I'm playing via emulation and the keystrokes are annoying.

But it has potential.

The CG was AMAZING for GBA. I cannot believe they can do that on a GBA.

Arg. I'm renting Nightmare Before Chistmas and possibly using my game pass to get Kingdom Hearts (why I don't own it is beyond me) if Ratchet and Clank isn't in.

The game is addictive.

But I can't believe platformers don't suck anymore. I gave up on the genre after the best they had to put out was Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. f**k them. Jak is decent. But Ratchet and Clank is the series that really leads right now in my opinion. Jak would probably have it if not for the poor idea of "GO HERE" for secret points and the overuse (and poor control) of the hoverboard.

CONSOLE GAMING RANT HELLO

I enjoyed Spyro 2/3, but that's about it. I rented Hero's Tail or whatever the new one is a week or two ago, and it's the same thing. I don't understand how they keep releasing the same game year after year. It's not a sports game. =\
