I'm going to the Final Fantasy concert tonight, at the Disney Hall Center in Downtown LA. Is anybody else here going? Were any of you E3 visitor folks able to get tickets?
I'm really looking forward to it. The tickets sold out in a few days, and I've even seen some of them selling on ebay for close to $800 a ticket. :O

I can just see telling your friends your going to see a Final Fantasy concert. But in all honesty it would probably be a good show.

A good show, yes.
But $800.00 is better than the show, unless it has info about the end of the world, or how to build your own time/space machine.

So, how was the concert? Apparentally, many symphonies across the country maybe doing the same at a concert hall near you.

The concert was great, although it was too short. It was only a little over an hour of music. It was cool though, Nobou Uematsu, Mr Sakaguchi(producer, creator) and the Art Director(forget his name) were there and they came up and gave pretty heartwarming speeches after the concert. After everybody gave them a concert, and thinking it was over, the conductor ran back onto the stage and they played One Winged Angel with a choir and everything. It was really good!
They pretty much played the most popular track from each final fantasy game, going as far back as the first game. I gave an audible "HAH" when I recognized they were playing the chocobo theme. For some reason, the thought of the LA Phil Harmonic playing chocobo music is hysterical.
My favorite track was probably Vamo' alla flamenco, from Final Fantasy IX, followed by One Winged Angel from FF7. They got the voice of Tidus to host the concert, who was kind of cheesy but whatever.
All in all, was a good show and I suppose it was worth the $85 ticket price.

So when you say that, it means that next year you will go, because you weren't going to bother with boozing and drugs either.
