so uhhh...
I went into the tower of endless stairs, whatever the hell its called (Fanatic Tower?) and at the top there's this Gem Box in a chest in a room on the roof, when you try to leave a bunch of robed KKK members bum rush you... but noithing happens. They've totally blocked me in but nothings happening! Supposedly I'm supposed to fight the magimaster at this point, but NOTHING HAPPENS. I can't open doors, I can't pause, I can't open my stats window, all I can do is walk around in those 3 or so squares that are unblocked.
Wtf am I supposed to do?

Thats really weird, are you playing it on a rom or something? it might be corrupt.. other than that I don't know what to tell ya, you should just go straight into the fight screen against The Magi Master.

Only thing that I can think of is to try another emulator, I know some games have problems on certain emulators and not others (Romancing Saga for example) download another emulator and copy your rom file and save and try loading it up, if you get the same problem.. then im fresh out of ideas.
It's kinda strange though since I beat FF3 on a rom a couple months ago and got past that part fine.
Do you use Zsnes?

Actually no, they don't auto attack you, there's one guy that floats up, if i remember correctly, and you walk up to the stairs, and "talk" to him..

Rom suck sometimes.. They do stupid shit like that Minion... I remember when i was playing Bof 2 and it would also freeze up on a certain part , never could get past that part without it freezing...
mmmmmm Ff3 is nice.. Locke is mah fav rogue.. .

So it looks like they beat you without fighting! This is a great achievement in RPG history.

I have the same problem with a ROM. (I got it on a XBOX dvd that my friend burn me. (big ass emulator) and I run it with SNES9X v.143
the rom version is Final Fantasy 3 (v1.1).001
anyone can help?
is keeping my save data but replacing the rom with another one could work?
