I was wondering about something. I have a computer thats running windows 98. When I save files from a certain guy, the icons show up as a little monitor and keyboard. I open the file which is already saved to my computer, and it asks if i want to save it/open it. Whatever I click it just sits there and does nothing, then the icon will start flashing and the open/save screen will pop up again. I cant open it with winzip either. Any suggestions?

it sounds kind of like its an undefined file type, ie. it was made as something like a picture ( .gif or .jpg ) but the extension never went through..
Ask your friend what kind of file it is ( ie a picture, text document, program ) and rename it with the extension..
IF the files is called X, rename it X.txt, X.doc, X.jpg, X.gif, X.exe or something like that
