cops are hardcore about fireworks around here, so we can't shoot anything off into the air without them being notified immediately by people nearby then paying a huge ass fine. Gotta go with the ground sparkler crap around here, it blows

Those magic whips. You take like 12 boxes of 4 each and connect the fuzes then light it. You get one hell of a show.
Whistling Petes that have been dented blow up too.

Take off the base of the Petes and light that end will give you a mini rocket going 50' in the air and a 100 yards down the street. Was the last bit of fun we had with "safe n sane" before they banned all fireworks around here =\

Simple man, let me explain it to you!
#1 Get some cheap ass sparklers, electrical tape, and an iron will!
#2 take all the sparklers and put them together sort of like a corn dog
------====== (MAKE SURE ONE IS PULLED OUT FIRST TO FUNCTION AS A WICK, DON'T PULL ONE OUT WHILE THEY'RE TAPED) Tape them up so the top is exposed! (just tape the area of the sparkler that burns, make sure it's super-tight.
------====== --- <- sparkler pulled out to function as wick
#3 Light the "wick" and run, or light it and throw it if you feel zany

Nonono!!!
You can't get any sparklers. DO NOT GET THE BAMBOO ONES. All they do is make a big flame, no explosion or boom or anything cool. You have to get the metal ones. I've heard from a few people that Red is the only color that works, but I can't confirm this is right or wrong since I've always just used red.
You also have to make sure the tape is tight. Stretch the tape as you wrap it. If you don't stretch it it won't compress enough and it won't work as well.
DONT THROW THEM EITHER. 90% of the time if you throw them they'll break the wick and then you're going to p****d off trying to make a new wick for it.

I made a small one with 2 boxes of sparklers.
It was not a big thing or nothing but it looked neat.
I wanna get a bunch like in that pic.
Does a blue light really shoot out?
Looks like a blue lazer shooing down on you from above independents day style

if your brave and have a rocket launching pad you can buy cheap rockets and put a little cocktail in the cap where the parachut usually goes.. if you do it right they wont go off til they hit their max height where the engine would normally push the parachut out... its just kinda dangerous if you use anything like powder cause theres a decent risk of them just exploding on the pad.
