So, what does everyone like to eat for breakfast?
My ideal breakfast contains the following yummy goodness:
Eggs over medium
Bacon w/ maple syrup poured over it
or
Ham and Red Eye Gravy
Grits with lots of butter and salt
Homemade biscuits
Right now though, I am eating a Croissanwich and Those little baby hash browns dipped in strawberry jam <nods>

By far and above everything else.
Waffle House:
Hash Browns - Scattered Covered and Chunked (that's Scattered, with cheese and ham)
Ham and Cheese Omelet
Toast with Butter
A glass of orange juice and about 3 cups of coffee (artifical sweetener, no cream)
Nothing comes close.

Almost never have breakfast, I hit up the vending machine around 10:00am for M&M's or something.
However, after bar breakfast owns. I usually order a ham omelette with no cheese... and those griddle egg/ham/potato things are great too.

Waffle house is like the realpoor equivalent of restaurants. No matter how clean you are going in, you're greasy and clammy as hell when you leave a half hour later, returning home immediately to take a shower. Frequented only by drunk college kids and truckers because no place else is open at 4 am.

I like
Grits and
a breakfast burrito where you throw some sausage hasbrowns(alreadycooked) in with the eggs and then on a flour tortilla with some spicy salsa.

Red Eye gravy is when you fry ham and then once it's all fried you remove it from the pan, add some water and boullion (sp?) and a touch of liquid smoke and it makes the absolutely best clear gravy on earth. Now, it's not a thick gravy like sausage gravy, but damn is it good with grits and biscuits.

Buttermilk biscuits slathered with all the gravy possible, hashed browns smothered with cheddar cheese, two scrambled eggs (crystal hot sauce is essential, along with copious amounts of pepper), and white toast.
That is a breakfast of champions.

Does it get any better than a drunken IHoP breakfast at 3:32 a.m.?
