I'm going to get a new toy in the next year or so. I'm starting to look hard at different cars now, leaning twards a mustang. A 1968 1/2, 428 scj, fastback mustang has always been my favorite, with a 69/70 mach 1 with a 428 next. I know the R code mustangs are worth alot and will never loose value. I'm also thinking resale when I look at the car. All you car freaks, any opinions with maybe a picture too?

I would go for the Steve McQueen car from "Bullet" (I think that's the title to his muscle car movie). Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it was a Mustang, no???

I was always partial to the larger Chevrolet cars when people say "Muscle" cars as I have always thought "Pony" car when people talked about the Mustang/Camaro/Cuda etc.

So one of my favorites, in no particular order...

1969 Chevelle SS

1971-1972 Chevelle

My favorite Pony car is definately the Camaro of the late 60's and in particular 69 for the side gills rear "shark gills"...

68...

Sweet 69 and 57 Bel Air (Another of my favorite "Big cars" but it's not a 60 like you asked -=p)

Pic of just the 57..

I could go on and on....

Ok, one more...62 Chevy Biscayne....

This one in particular was built by Troy Trepainer which he dubbed the "Chicayne"...specs on it are...

FI SBC, 1300hp 1000tq, has air inlets under the headlights, and custom bumper so air can get to the intercooler and the tailights on the back pop the trunk by twisting them

OMG Wabi!! I know Troy quite well, My father is a Street Rod builder also.
I worked with him in Highschool on his Buick, and the Rumblar.

Last year i went to Barrett Jackson with him and my father when he sold that 57 Ford wagon he did.

His fathers Biscane ya know just sold not too long ago "BisQuick" ANd they only got 25g for it =/

Ok Back on topic, Favorite Muscle car? 69 COPO ZL1 Camaro, 70 Chevelle LS6, 69 AMc AMX, 64 belvedere 426 max wedge, 66 Shelby Cobra (only ford i think i could ever own).

All you mustang people out there, get real. The only mustangs that were even slightly cool were the ones that thaey made so few of, that if you even saw one when they were new you were lucky. The camaros/chevells of the time regularly showed up any mustang that was around. Mustangs are JUNK. you will find this out if you ever rebuild one, shit thats GLUED together, they used 1time only cheap ass Clips insdtead of bolts and nuts in alot of places, and their Unibodies sucked so bad, if you ever wanted to actually "race" one you have to put connectors or at least a cage in it.

My father build a 65 GT fastback for my uncle, after that car he vows to never touch another mustang.

A bit off the muscle car thing, as i am more into Street Rods myself,

Chip Foose is a god. I dunno if any of you watched TLC last night and the show Rides, but they Showed a car there, the Grand Master. A 35 chevrolet that he designed. That car was build about a hour from where i live, and i went up and saw it on occasion. It is owned by Bob and Wes Rydell, the owners of Rydell Chevrolet and other car dealerships in Grand Forks ND.

That car Won the riddler award at the Detriot autorama, and every other major show it has attended, including Oakland Roadster Show, yadda yadda yadda.

They say the car is approaching 7 figures in what i cost to build, ad 90% of it is hand formed, just the Cowl, parts of the doors, and part of the roof is original 35 chevy.

If i had the power to Host pics i have of it i would post them, but i cant even seem to Find any on the net to link from.

If anyone can, please link them.
