What is the fastest way to get to level 60 in World of Warcraft? I just started to play the game and I want to reach this level as soon as possible so I can enjoy the game better. My friend has told me that it is very boring until you reach level 60. I want to hear from several veteran players what do they think about this and what must I do.

It is so dumb that your friend told you this. There are no fast ways to reach any level. You must play this game slowly and enjoy it at every moment. It is not true that World of Warcraft is boring until you reach level 60. It is very good at any given moment. Maybe you have more opportunities after this level and have more gear to choose from, but you must play it like any other game. You should not hurry with it. You must be careful how you play or you can have problems later on.

Have your friends help you level. Get lvl 10 (easily done by yourself) then have your friend run you through Deadmines until you reach level 20. Once elvel 20 go to SM and begin running whichever side you want until you reach level 40. Once 40 you can go to ZF, until I believe around level 50. at 50 start grinding or doing quests for yourself.
Obviously this method relies solely on your friend and his ability to run you through instances and such, but I have found it to be perhaps the fastest yet also perhaps the most boring method of leveling.

The fastest (and only I imagine) to level is just to do a lot of quests and instances and you'll get to 60 in like a week if you are hardcore.

If you can get an aoe class to powerlevel you through instancing, leveling is very fast that way
|

With 2.3, it is clearly questing that will be the fastest way to level to 60. Thank god because it was getting to be way too boring to re-roll another class. It is approximately 15-25% faster to level to 60 according to research done, so it isn't exactly fast, but its still quicker.

Questing is pretty fast, they made the grind to 60 a lot easier as of last patch

i think it is kinda boring too personally especially after you do it 3 or 4 times. the first time should be enjoyed though. but if you really want to just get through it quick then download some mods that assist you in the quests and pretty much tell you where to go. also use www.wowhead.com or www.thottbot.com

It is much easier from 1 to 60 since 2.3, they reduced the amount of xp needed, and incresed the amount gained from mobs and qs, should be much easier now.

Quest, Quest, Quest.
Just gather all the quests and as you go around completling these quests kill everything. Turn in bundles of quests at the same time and your experience will shoot up.
Also for a nice rest running instances with rested experience can be amazing.
