Ok, I have Marcel Shipp (RB, Arizona) on one of my teams. Do I keep him and hope Emmit Smith gets injured, or should I drop him and pickup some leftover back who would probably start such as Stacy Mack?

Emmit is only good on national TV, anyone from Dallas knows this, however Stacy Mack is no great catch either. You should just try to look for other good back ups like Coral Buckhalter.
