How will experience be gained in Fallen Earth? Is it like the classical RPG method, you know, each level requires a certain amount of XP points to achieve, and when you do, you receive some sort of set upgrade to your existing abilities? Or are there complications? Judging from what I've read, I'd assume there's more…

Well, basically it's like what you've summarized above. You get XP points from killing mobs, crafting stuff, and finishing quests. Once you get enough, you level up, getting a small bonus to each one of your attributes.
