I read somewhere that character customisation will be severely limited due to story and background reasons. Something about how all characters are clones of each other (or a single ancestor, I don't know), so you can't make them too different For example, no overweight or underweight people. That sucks so much ass IMO. Discuss.

Actually, that's a bit of a stretch. You can't alter proportions too much because of the way that gear is displayed (directly, visibly) and it would be too hard to model each item for a giant and for a dwarf. You can, however, choose your head model, skin tone, age, eye color, hair style, hair color, facial hair, and makeup.
