Mother f*****s just made me loose 1 grand. Had to send a package that had a deadline of today. Customer barely signed document yestrerday so I decided to overnight it insted of using interoffice.
All they had to do was deliver the package by today at 5pm. I sent it yesterday at 2 with "guaranteed" delivery by today at 12.
What happens? f*****s just shipped it out of CT tonight. It's only friggin going to Mass. I could have f*****g driven it there if i had known they were going to f*****g loose it.

My company uses airborne =/ Never had a package not arrive on time. Package isn't lost but it had to be in by today in order for me to get any $$$ this year. Now it counts toward next year. If it had counted towards this years goals I would have gotten a commision on the deal.

I work at FedEx, so I'll educate everyone as best I can. I'm not sure as to the particulars of Airborne's policies, but at FedEx, if you ship something, and it's late, you get your money back on the shipping only. Also, if the delay was caused by an "act of God" such as bad weather, you don't get anything back. For example, if you sent in a lottery ticket, and the airport got snowed in, and no planes could leave, and your lottery ticket expired or something, you'd just be SOL.
I would bring it up to your boss and think about switching to FedEx. We have First Overnight, which gaurantees it by the start of business the next day, and if that's not good enough, there's the Custom Critical division, which specializes in getting things where they need to be, no matter how obscure or time-sensitive the location or package.
In theory you could sue, but I doubt the trouble would be worth the return.
