God how the f**k do I beat both of them without using the Knights of the Round trick?
I keep on getting close to beating Ruby, but it's just gay when I attack the claws, and it STILL uses Whirlsand.
Also, I get Emerald Weapon down, but it just uses Tam Air Storm or whatever

70 for all.
Kinda low, but I got HP plus and lots of effects to make me a killing machine. I'm using:
Cid for Slash-All
Cloud with 4x Slash. 8760 x 4 is lovely. Also haste.
Vincent has Ultima with MP Absorb, Wall-all, etc.
I have everyone's epic and limits.
Anything else you want to know?

other then gettin the under water meteria for emerald i have no good hints, your agenst using KoTR and mimic right? What about clouds last limit break, thats a good dmg one iirc...

Not using KoTR and mimic. I can get Omnislash 1 or 2 times on Ruby/Emerald before the Whirlsand and Air Tam Storm goes off, but it's not enough unfortunaltely.

Final Attack Materia:
This is gotten by winning the *SPECIAL* battle in the gold saucer arena.
The special battle is ONLY ACCESSABLE by equipping cloud with an exact and specific set of armor / weapon / extra thing. I'm not sure the exact 3 things you have to put on cloud in order to be offered the special battle . . .
I eventually did this and then went to the area in the meteor hole where you go down to fight sephiroth. In a certain area in here (greenish water looking area, looks different from the other areas) you will randomly fight things called magic pots. (Little gold pots with goblin guys in them) they say "ELIXIR!" give them elixirs and then you can kill them. They give a LOT of exp / materia.
I leveled up both final attack and phoenix using a +3x materia EXP boost weapon on cloud there so I got 3 full phoenix / final attack materias for my group. (This = Godliness .. Nearly Impossible to die)
I think on www.cheatcc.com it tells you exactly what you need to be offered the special arena battle in the walkthrough.

Also to beat the emerald weapon it helps to get the enemy skill LAZER from the dragon monster at the beginning of the sephiroth cave when you are first spiraling down the hole.
This LAZER is a percentage based HP killer and helps to take down the MASSIVE hp of the emerald weapon.
