A few key indicators that you might be old school thought I'd try a non-dramatic topic for a change.
YOU MIGHT BE OLD SCHOOL IF:
1. You played EQ before 2000( A given)
2. You aquired a stein from a quest in inno swamp with +15 cha - before they changed it
3. You spent levels 15-30(or any part of)at the aviak city and it wasn't hard to find a kill.
4. You remember a time when kithicor forrest was safe to go through at night.
5. You felt a tremendous sense of satisfaction and recognition from killing Dorn while everyone else was running like a screaming little girl from him.(ok it's not old school, but I never get tired of killing him, and I'll go 2 zones out of my way sometimes just to do it)
6. You spent level 20-35(or any part of) in High keep, and thought it was the best XP anywhere.
7. You remember killing the High Guard cats on the island off Tox
8. You killed a Sand Giant with a Dozen or so level 20 necros (before the nerf) and lived to tell about it(still a myth- never could verify that)
9. You were the envy of everyone with your LEET SMR, EE bag, Staff of Writhing, Efreeti boots, etc(insert archaic LEET item here)
10. You ever spent more than 24 consecutive hours in Najeena waiting for that dumb b***h to spawn to get your Jboots, which weren't even as fast as sow...grumble grumble...
My oldest old school memory is level 8, kerra ridge, killing High guard cats with Twisterkhan, Jerkyjunky, Silewyn, and a few others. (none of those people even play anymore I don't think) That and Brael at the derv camp, his level 13 uberness impressing all us level 10s- lol
How things have changed...

number 8 is true =p..we had 2 groups..3 Sk's (one group which cosisted of mah super Skness) and the rest were necros..took us a while but we did it..and omg that 70pp was the shet

not a myth we used to do it, seen mylixia and vekril there alot doing it, only lasted about 2-3 weeks or so, verant squashed that quick.

Old scholol is farming runed totem staffs in Lake rathe before the Lore flag
oh and believing verants lie that the lore flag would actually tell you a story about the item when it was fully implemented.

Spent 48 hours the first camp only to be KS'd by a certian druid named David.
Second time I camped them -- 72 strait hours, Szak and Neuro tried to KS us but failed. Finally got them when Zehleshul (old guide) showed up and cheered us on.

I remember farming mino axes in the gorge and taking bags of them back to Qeynos where nobody even knew where they came from and they sold for mad plat.

My fondest memory was with my 1st guy (ranger wood elf) and my RL friend (druid wood elf). We left for Antonica for the 1st time. We got on the boat (remember taking the boat?!?!?!) and arrived in Freeport. We were gonna head to Qeynos. Anyhow, we finally make it out to EC when we came upon another elf (it was a high elf I think). We ask him where to go and he roleplays that he is taking out his map. As he is doing this I am watching this huge Griffon come looming up behind him. I had never seen one before and didn't know they were KoS. Next thing I know our new friend goes down like a sack of potatoes and I start running for my life. My druid friend was invis so he didn't get attacked. I never reached the zone and next thing I know I'm all the way back in Kelethin. So I gave consent to my druid buddy, he looted my body (remember when you could acutally loot someones full gear?!), and gated back to me. We didn't venture back out for some time. I still love killin griffons too!!  The End.

i remember mino axes. it was some time in mid 1999 when i was running from qeynos to freeport. i had made it through the karanas and the gorge. only got seen once. then the nasty run through runnyeye. sweat beading up on my forehead. heart racing as im now in danger of losing a full suit of bronze and a 2 handed bronze longsword( i was so uber ) i had made i past all the goblins and the evil eye. i was now in misty. the challege was over. as i flexed and strutted twords the commons, it wasnt but 3 steps before i got my ass handed to me by a train of bixies and a goblin. as i turned to run i quickly began to bleed to death and see qeynos again. OMG! what am i to do  . i tried making the run back but died and lost lvl 6. crap now im so mad!! my corpse was lost and i was out almost 200 plat worth of bronze. then out of the blue another paladin gave me his bp and legs and a might mino axe. even without my uber armor i was now an ass kickin machine. look out orc1 here i come

only about half of the things on your list are truly old school.
i remember the first raid to the efreeti...it was like 4 groups and nallas got the boots.
i knew the guy IRL that had one of the first 3 ykesha's in the game (all gotten on the same raid)
cazic thule is where all the kewl people leveled....that was still one of the best xp zones in the game for 20-40 until they changed it, heh.

My quote first time I ran into this change was "Wow must be a GM event becuase I have died 10 times now"

Sitting at the bank waiting for a group to open up and felt lucky to have 4-6 spawns all to your group. All the time dreaming of leveling to 40 so that I could get into Lower Guk groups. Goul Lord /drool

Heh. My first time in Cazic, early 20s, I ooc for a group so I could get an intro to the zone. Get beat up badly by trains, so I ooc "wtf - I just asked for an intro to the zone, someone immediately trains me, I zone out, get half killed by bouncer hurd, zone back in and get killed by a second train!".
And someone answers "that IS the standard introduction to Cazic!"

Haha The first time I was killed by him.. I was like what this dam elf hit ting me for!?!?! Them was the days of sand gaints there too... =) And yes if I run by that camp.. HE WILL DIE!!

Bahh.. some of my list is old school.. some just stuff I remember.
And I DID level up in CT. I hung out with anastasia, raziel, and some other people. I remember because I was there while the rubi was dropping. But people had that stuff pharmed up the yin yang. Finally got into the room, and it got nerfed.. that blew some goats balls.
First event before the kith change was the wolves in WC(got ganked about 10 times) then some stuff in EC and neriak. Next think you know everyone's camping kith.

The best part of highkeep was KSing the orcs. It was one of the few places that was an acknowledged free for all zone, it was group against group (and the solo wizzies, back before they made it group damage), and every group tried to draft every decent character that wandered by to better their chances, and the whole competition was relatively good natured.
