Okay...my understanding is that Active Directory is based on LDAP. Since Exchange 2000 uses AD as it's database, I would need to write a list of LDAP queries if I wanted to create a custom address list for a user. Is this correct?
If it is, can anyone point me towards some decent literature on how to do that? I have a fairly solid base of knowledge about networks but my programming skills leave a little to be desired. I can write basic scripts (using SQL mostly but scripting is scripting) but haven't really had any formal training. Please don't suggest anything incredibly advanced. I don't want something that very basic but I don't want something designed for 10 year engineers either. For example, 'for Dummies' books are way too simplistic.
is probably yer best bet. ldap was created at the University of Michigan, but I dont think they have very good pages there. That one has active x stuff with it
