All of what he says is true... but I pitty that he still plays and has said all of that... I dont and havent played in years, and never will for thoes exact reasons he stated in the article.

looks to me like someone with a grudge is just being whiney. Some may be somewhat true to an extent, but not really. It always seem that someone who didn't get their way, or has a personal grudge, are the ones that post articles like that.
I have never had a bad experience other than a*****e players.
Someone like that that can't peel themselves away from a game when it interferes with RL deserves anything detrimental they suffer for it.

I really don't see it. "I play this game because I like it" is cool. "The game wound me up so I quit" is fine.
I play the game and I hate it, really really makes no sense to me.
Don't start, you might not be able to quit. I buy that with cigarettes/heroin/cocaine/booze for certain personalities. I smoke. I no longer enjoy it, I just don't have >quite< enough motivation to quit. But I don't claim it's something I do as a leisure activity too.
I worked with drug addicts. I have full sympathy for addiction. But please, don't tell me a game is something you play because you have no choice, because your body wants it although your mind doesn't.
