I can't find many good sources to show my roommate that blacks did not split off of the evolutionary chain. He insists they did as he was taught in the public education system in 10th grade. Anyone have some good sources? I checked my AP bio book from HS and showed him the evolutionary chart etc without a seperate line for black people but he wasn't convinced

Sure they aren't testing all the bucks we bred up to 350 lbs? In a few generations that will disapear too.

Think about it logicly, the genetic make up of every race is slightly different. If isolated and given time each race would slowly evolve slightly differently. We are all branches of homosapians at what would be the begining of new species branches if the races were isolated from eachother and not mixing.

i remember some genetic documentary that was on recently ...
said something about the abbarigginees(spelling) in australia appear to be the base tribe that spread throughout the globe ..
they were able to trace genetics to time periods when they traveled and stuff .. was interesting .. definitely worth a watch ..

it was either on history channel or discovery ..
it might have been one of those NOVA documentaries ...
cant really remember or find out anything else about it right now ... just that they did genetic studies across present day populations to find basically a genetic trace .. the history of the gene and were able to track movements of humans across the globe with it

they traced the genes to this guy in the asian steppes and everyone in the world was descended from his genes.
