Well, I'm now using utorrent. took a bit to get setup, but we'll see how I like it.
Lately I've been angry with bit tornado, 'cause it just SUCKS. I'd connect to like 300 people and get 10-15k download, if that... it was enraging.

So what do you guys think that needs to be done?
Cause I agree, seeing anything over 50kp a sec for me is amazing on torrent, knowing when I DL something off a good websites it's around 200kps.
Taking a week or so to DL close to 8gigs if kind of dumb and a waste of time.

Agreed, I've gotten more than 3mb/s with it, but I think it was because someone in my school was hosting the file. Usually over 100kb/s for most downloads of about 10-20 seeds.

I've been using uTorrent 1.5. My downloads vary, though...but they are always faster than I have ever had with Azureus <shrug>. It's also less of a resource hog, and for me, it's easier to maneuver and understand.

/bonk..now you know I am still a n00b with these, but...my downloads DO appear to be running faster, overall, with uTorrent. I don't know if it is a changed setting I have somewhere or what, but Azureus used to show me very slow downloads all the time..I mean all the time <shrug>

What really annoys me, are the folks who are on Dial Up downloading all this shit. All they do is slow everyone else the f**k down.

Nah, the few kb/sec they get hardly makes a difference.
The people on very fast connections who cap their upload very low and those who don't seed after they're done (usually the same people) are those hurting torrents.

What newsgroup do you subscribe to? Newshosting caps me at 5mbit, though you can't beat unlimited downloading for $15/month
