Finally.. this game sucks balls. Minion shouldnt care about this forum breach, it's too important.

The phone tones ARE real--you could sign up for them at Fan Faire.
EQ2--
we had a live demo of this at Fan Faire--first time anyone ever has seen it live--and the graphics were kick-ass.
True to form, their server in San Diego crashed twice and they zoned to desktop four times, I think :p
The accompanying article in PC Gaming notes EQ2 is THE best thing they have ever seen. Of course, the editor is a huge fan of EQ to start with.
Also, EQ2 appears to borrow HEAVILY from DAoC and other games for the changes from EQ.
One of the cool things, IMO, is a class called "tradesman". In this class, you will earn exp not through battles and such, but through completing projects such as building a temple, with a group of others in your class.
Dunno if the article is available online--if it is, someone please link it?

They didn't crash to desktop, the dialog box said something couldn't be created, the game isn't finished by any stretch of the imagination. They just showed a few of the animations/graphics which looked O.K. I would have to admit, although there is no way in hell that I will ever buy the game. I value my future. =O
I got a cool key chain at the FF! Tarew Marr - biggest server in attendance. Glad I didn't pay the $85 to register :D

Ya, Sony borrows stuff from other games, but as long as they do a better job its all good. Imitation is the best form of flattery after all ;p
