Everquest Help, Datarates

I'm using the local Cable service near me. When I play my datarate will be find then shoot up to something like 5-8k and sometimes goes right back down again. If I zone it goes back to normal. It only happens every once and a wile.

Anyone know why this might be happening?

Edit-

Also my cable modem has 0 problems with any other programs still DLs at cable speeds. Just EQ it has a problem. I am also NOT under a firewall
