Well I get the beta 3 cd for christmas from my cousen, im like SWEET, I go out and buy a network adapter for my ps2, I install it, setup my network settings, and BOOM beta 3 is no longer open or some shit.
Well now I have to get in my f*****g car and drive back to the store to return the network adapter because ATM I could use the cash for better shit.
Was anyone in beta, is it worth it, how much will it cost montly?

Ditto, If you look at screenshots or read FAQ on it, the gameplay, game content, and graphics dont look anything like eq.

Thats why im returning it... I was going to buy it for socom and TH4, but its not worth it if I cant play 3 games with it lol

game will cost about 10 bucks a month.... played a lil in beta2 and beta3....one word. SUCKS! it was fun for the first 5 levels then after that it was all downhill. anyways guess this answers your questions.

I found this thread amusing. People arguing about whether or not this qualifies as an EQ thread, as if you think your opinion will have any influence on whether or not I feel it's necessary to move it or not. It's sad and funny at the same time.

I played since phase 1.
It takes some getting used to.
But it's fun since you can sit in your recliner playing.
I use a video projector to play, so it's a bit more fun. Don't expect to play this on a 13" tv.
You have to have a keyboard. Any usb keyboard works (i'd reccomend a wireless usb keyboard of some sort) Pick and find using your controller blows. (Wireless controller works good too)
Other then that, what tends to fustrate a lot of people is the importance of grouping, lessening of the social aspect.
It's a lot harder to type in eqoa then it is in eq.
It's not always easy to find a group
BUt then remember it was beta with only a cpl hundred people playing.
Levels don't take THAT long, and theres tons of content. (The towns are not modeled after old eq towns, nor are the quests) I had a lot of fun playing it, and enjoyed my classes. (Class spells are NOT the same either)
I'll be buying it, but remember, it IS a timesink :p
SOCOM wasn't bad, but like tribes aerial assult, aiming with the thumb controller really sorta blows if your used to using a mouse in FPS games.
