Ever wonder what the expression "stuck on stupid" meant?
Well here is an example:

The grinning idiot clinging to Rev. Je$$e Jack$on is Cindy $heehan... the sob sister protesting the war at Bush's ranch, who lost her son in the war; the same son she gave up in her divorce when he was only 7 years old. Nice Mom!
And by the way if you wonder why she has so much free time ... she is going through another divorce right now and guess what? She is giving up custody of another son.

The Media did not mention those facts, did they?
As Forest Gump once wisely proclaimed, "Stupid is as stupid does."

Got this in the mail.

I heckled Jesse Jackson and Michael Moore at a speech a month before the 2004 election. I started a FAAAAAAAT AAAAAASSSSS chant while he was talking about god knows what.

Not to defend her but just curious, did she voluntarily give up all custody of her son? It's the first I've heard about that stuff.

Unfortunately its just something I have heard from time to time on radio or TV. I'm sure there are some articles talking more about her past than what she has been doing presently, but I don't feel like digging that deep. However I do have some favorites that I pulled from wikipedia...

Some Sheehan gems:

Quote:
In remarks on April 27, 2005 at a rally for self-described radical lawyer Lynne Stewart, Sheehan said "America has been killing people, like my sister over here says, since we first stepped on this continent, we have been responsible for death and destruction. I passed on that b******t to my son and my son enlisted. I’m going all over the country telling moms: 'This country is not worth dying for'. If we’re attacked, we would all go out. We’d all take whatever we had. I’d take my rolling pin and I’d beat the attackers over the head with it. But we were not attacked by Iraq."[37]

Quote:
In an August 15, 2005 interview [42] on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews, Sheehan told Matthews that she thought she would not have responded differently to her son's death had he died in Afghanistan rather than in Iraq. Sheehan argued that the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan was "almost the same thing" as the Iraq war and that in both cases it was wrong to invade an entire country to fight an ideology that did not necessarily represent all of the people of that country. When Matthews pointed out that "...Afghanistan was harboring, the Taliban was harboring al-Qaida which is the group that attacked us on 9/11," Sheehan replied, "Well then we should have gone after Al-Qaeda and maybe not after the country of Afghanistan." Sheehan also argued that American efforts in Afghanistan were not "having any success" and that "our troops should be brought home [from both Iraq and Afghanistan]."

What others think about her:

Quote:
Parents of other military personnel killed in Iraq
Linda Ryan, mother of Corporal Marc T. Ryan, a Marine who was killed in Ramadi, says of Sheehan:

"She's going about this not realizing how many people she's hurting. When she refers to anyone killed in Iraq, she's referring to my son. She doesn't have anything to say about what happened to my son." [65]
On August 15, 2005, Matt and Toni Matula, parents of Matthew Matula, a Texas Marine killed in Iraq, requested that the white cross representing their dead son as a victim of the war in Iraq be removed, stating that they did not wish their son's name to be part of an anti-war demonstration. Mr. Matula said:

"It's fine for people to grieve their own way. It aggravates me to see them using other people's names to further their cause."[66]
Natalie Healy, mother of Dan Healy, a Navy SEAL who was killed in the line of duty in Iraq, organized a rally on August 20, 2005 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in order to counteract Sheehan's message, stating:

"We just want to let the fellas know that we’re supporting them and that we’re not going to wimp out on them." [67]
Gary Qualls, whose son, Marine Corporal Louis Wayne Qualls, died in Iraq, started what was dubbed "Fort Qualls" in Crawford, Texas to counter the "Camp Casey" protests. Qualls has repeatedly removed the white cross bearing his son's name from the Arlington West display set up by "Camp Casey." [68]

Gregg Garvey, whose 23 year old son died in Iraq, joined the pro-Bush counter protests stating "people have had enough Bush bashing", and that Sheehan "does not represent all of America". [69]

Quote:
Sheehan's sister-in-law (and Casey's paternal aunt), Cherie Quartarolo, in which she was quoted as saying:

"We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect."
Quartarolo signs the email "Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins."[62], but does not mention the individual names of these relatives.

During a series of interviews published on several websites, Sheehan responded to Quartarolo's statement:

"My in-laws sent out a press conference disagreeing with me in strong terms; which is totally okay with me, because they barely knew Casey. . . ."
"We have always been on separate sides of the fence politically and I have not spoken to them since the elections when they supported the man who is responsible for Casey’s death."[63]

Quote:
Cindy Sheehan wrote about her deceased son:
He was a Humvee mechanic who never should have gone on a mission like that. Casey and 20 of his buddies were sent into a raging insurgent uprising to rescue wounded soldiers. Only 13 of them returned. Casey was riding in the back of a trailer with no protection when they were ambushed. He was killed within minutes of the ambush. He was able to return fire and buy some time for his unit. His actions that day saved lives. Casey is a hero who belongs to history now, but I wish he were a living breathing coward. So I could still talk to him, e-mail him, send him care packages, Christmas Presents, hug him and never let go when he got back from War.

lol I was offered in on a $50 pot for that game (and don't get me wrong I love my panthers) but I just had a bad feeling going in without Foster.

I declined and saved myself the cash + wounded pride.

I think she is just out for a money grab, may not of started that way, but when she saw she could get paid to attend/speak at places, she decided to drain all the money she could get from this.

She was being forgotten, so she had to show up at the state of the union and pull a stunt to get her name out there again imo.

I served in the military, and I agree with the comments the other parents gave about her actions.

Bottom left: That's not a Dinosaur... that's a Whale. And the swimming guy in the middle has a broken-off tail. Sad day indeed.

The media gave her a soap box and she's not getting off of it and why would she?

Some people post profiles on myspace to get attention - she makes a killing, is shown on every News Channel in the US and even gets an invitation to the State of the Union. Beats appearing on "the real world."

In the long run ebay is going to go away. It was cool when the internet was new and people hadn't had access to that type of thing before, and just had mountains of old junk they wanted to get rid of. Now all that old junk has been distributed and ebay is running into the same problems junkyards face: not enough junk. Most of the shit you see on ebay these days is brand new items, still in the box, that you can get from Amazon cheaper than it ends up going for on eBay.
