I'm new to EVE so you might find my question stupid but I really don't care as long as there's someone who'll be nice enough to answer it. I was wondering what happens if my standing with some corporation or faction drops to -2.0? What can I do to fix the standings if anything?

The easiest way to make your standing go up is by training the diplomacy skill. If it's a NPC corporation, it is the only way and if diplomacy doesn't help, you have to move on to another corporation. PC corporations are a bit easier to regain standings with. You can do it trough a lot of hard work - doing missions for their allies or intentionally spoiling missions for their enemies.
