I noticed that Eve Online servers go down often in several past days. Why is that happening? I do not understand how the developers do such a thing. I just cannot log in to the game for some time. It would be OK if that happened several times, but this is going on very often. Will anybody explain me what is in question here, because I do not understand.

I have noticed the exactly same thing. I think that developers shut the servers down because of maintenance, or to install and check new updates. That is one of the things they must do to improve the game. However, as you, I do not understand why they are doing it that often. Eve Online has many active players, so I think that they are not very happy when they cannot play the game. I have faith in developers, so I will be patient. Only the good thing can become of this.

I can't help but disagree... The EVE developers don't seem to know what they are doing. I started playing EVE in 2005 and there are still bugs now, that I reported (and many other people did) long, long ago. None of those bugs are serious, but it's very annoying when new features get added rather than fixing old ones.
Don't get me wrong, EVE is totally playable and any bug around these days is a minor one, but there have been some bugs that simply ruined people's day and CCP had to refund them their ship, etc.
As for the downtime, EVE honestly isn't down that much... It isn't long since a new patch has been released and there might be new things the devs have to do during downtime and they haven't worked out a best way to do them yet? You will get at least 22 hours of uptime a day normally.
