Eve Online player abilities in the game

Eve Online player abilities in the game is something that was much talked about. What do you think about this? Do you think that there is any truth in sayings that players abilities in this game are not as great as they should be and that because of this the game is staring to suffer a lot more then other games do?

I don’t agree with this and I don’t even know where you heard something like this in the first place. Player’s abilities in Eve online are as great as the player that is playing this game is capable of. This is what I think and I am sure that this is what other players would agree with. You just need to play as often as you can and you will build up your abilities more then you can believe that is possible. In case that you don’t do this, there is no miracle waiting to happen in regard to your abilities.

If you're talking about player skill, it's different in Eve. You do not need fast reaction times or the ability to perform multiple tasks at once (unless you are commanding a fleet). The skill is based on knowledge of the game and tactics.

Yeah, character advancement is based entirely on time. There is no grinding or xp. Much different type of MMO.

The only issue with the skill system in EVE is that the capital class ships really require an exponential amount more time to train than the sub-capital ships. The result of this is that although newer players can compete in most combat, holding space is pretty much impossible without a number of older, high SP players.
