I want to know more about planetary exploration – what are its advantages and disadvantages. Primarily, what does one have to pay mind to when doing planetary exploration. How to make the defense work like it should? How should be this defense spread on the planet? Any other suggestions are accepted too.

There was one great thread about this stuff on eve-online.com, but unfortunately they deleted it (or at least I cannot find it any more). the discussion was about modifyng crews abilities and similar stuff. Planetary exploration deserves better discussion and more people involved. Does anyone know where’s that thread? Hope it pops out somewhere.

I remember Reading that thread it coinsided with the Eve-online Walking in stations. But no new updates about that either. I don't know what happend to it.
Those two things would bring New levels of Gameplay/Exploration/combat/Mining, To a Whole New level of excitement
